At Sathya Sai Global School, teachers are trained to integrate human values into all the subjects they teach, thus widening their students understanding of the Singapore Ministry of Education Curriculum. Here are two examples by students of value integration:
Garde 3 students explore “Food Chains and Animal Classification” through hands-on, activity-based learning. As part of understanding herbivores, carnivores, and omnivores, students created and presented visual charts to demonstrate their understanding.
Through this activity, students not only learned to classify animals based on their food habits but also developed skills in observation, collaboration, and communication. By building and explaining their charts, they connected scientific concepts to real-world understanding, making learning both meaningful and engaging.
Another example of value-based learning is seen through a real-life activity on cleanliness and responsibility, where students actively demonstrated the importance of caring for their environment.
Through this activity, students understood that keeping surroundings clean is not just a task but a shared responsibility. By participating in simple actions like proper waste disposal, they connected everyday behaviour with values such as discipline, respect, and social awareness—learning that small actions can create meaningful change in the community.
