Professional growth
Teachers here own a subject rather than deliver a script. You plan your scheme of work, choose your materials and take your class through the year, with a head of department to think alongside — not to sign off every lesson.
We are looking for teachers and support staff who want to know their students well, take real ownership of their work, and keep learning themselves.
Sri Sathya Sai Global School is a growing school in Singapore teaching Grades 1 to 8. We run a structured curriculum with real laboratory provision, deliberately small classes and a values-led approach that runs through the ordinary school day rather than sitting beside it in an assembly once a term.
Our staff are teachers first. Leadership still teaches, heads of department still plan lessons, and the people making decisions about the timetable are the people standing in front of a class. If that is the kind of school you want to work in, we would like to hear from you — whether or not we are advertising at the moment.
To educate the whole child — academically, ethically and personally — so that every student leaves us capable, confident and decent. Read more in Vision & Mission.
Collaborative, calm and low-bureaucracy. Teachers are trusted with their subject, given time to plan, and expected to speak up. See A Day at SSSGS for what an ordinary day looks like.
Honest reporting, honest feedback, honest conversations with parents.
Doing the right thing by a child even when it is the harder option.
A calm classroom and a calm staff room. Escalation is a last resort, not a reflex.
Knowing every child in your care as a person, not a mark in a book.
No shouting, no shaming, no sarcasm — with children or with colleagues.
You send the form below, or email us your CV. Every application is read by a person — we reply either way, usually within five working days.
A short call to confirm your qualifications, subjects, year groups, notice period and eligibility to work in Singapore.
A conversation with the head of department about your subject, how you plan and how you handle a class that is not following you.
You teach a short lesson to a real class on campus. We give you the topic, the year group and the timing in advance — this is not a surprise test.
A discussion with school leadership covering pastoral care, our values and where you would like your career to go.
References and background screening, then a written offer setting out salary, start date and probation terms.
Induction before term begins: your timetable, your mentor, your classroom, systems access and the paperwork done in advance so day one is teaching.
Most applications move from first contact to offer within three weeks. We tell you where you stand at every stage, including when the answer is no.

Funded professional development planned into the school year, not squeezed into the holidays. Required certifications are renewed at the school's cost, and every new teacher is paired with an experienced colleague for their first term.
Small classes, real laboratory provision and a staff room where people actually talk to each other. Leadership teaches too, so decisions are made by people who were in a classroom that week.
Medical coverage, paid leave, statutory contributions handled correctly and on time, and a transparent salary structure reviewed each year against the sector.
A clear path from classroom teacher to subject lead, coordinator and school leadership. We appoint internally wherever we can, and we say so at interview rather than after.
We do not advertise every role. Teaching posts open when a class group grows or a colleague moves on, and those are often filled from applications already on file — which is how a number of our staff joined.
Send a general application and tell us the subjects and year groups you teach. We keep it on file and contact you directly when something suitable opens. There is no closing date and no need to wait for a vacancy to be posted.
Send us your profile anyway — we keep good applications on file and get in touch when something opens.
